Topic: Laser-assisted Scar Management
Abstract:
The laser-assisted scar management were typically based on the selective photo-thermolysis for
vascular or pigmentary diminish, and the fractional photo-thermolysis for the skin resurfacing. Utilizing
this combined treatment strategy, we had demonstrated the skin texture improvement and the color
match for various traumatic scars.
In the new era, the laser induced optical breakdown (LIOB) could reset the wound healing process with
epidermal repair and dermal remodeling. The traumatic scar management usually need the
multi-discipline therapeutic tools, and the prevention is the best policy. Earlier intervention is the key for
the scar treatment success.
