Topic: Personal Experience of Body Contouring with HIFEM Technique Equipment
Abstract:
Body contouring is one of the most practicing plastic procedures. However, the treatment of particular
muscles to improve the result of body contouring procedures was seldom emphasized and the condition
of patient's muscle can play either an equal or even more important role in defining the overall aesthetic
appearance. The Emsculpt is a novel High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology with
the primary goal to induce muscular hypertrophy or hyperplasia and decrease fat tissue thickness. The
common targeted muscle include abdominal rectus, and gluteal muscles. Furthermore, due to the
non-thermal and non-ionizing nature of the technology, its application is considered relatively safe.
Sonography is a simple method to evaluation the thickness of subcutaneous fat and particular muscle
objectively. In case of liposuction, the HIFEM technique treatment can improved the bulging appearance
of upper and lower abdomen and further increase the satisfaction of the patients
