Topic: Updates on Facial Surgical and Non-surgical Rejuvenation (2020-2021)
Abstract:
In East Asian patients, patient satisfaction is often limited due to undercorrection of facial laxity and
wrinkles, by using either surgical or non-surgical facial rejuvenation. The quest for better results is
always driving us to develop new techniques, which combined the strengths of surgical and non-surgical
facial lift and provides more effective improvement, compared with traditional facelifts. The purpose of
presentation is to introduce recent innovative techniques and new concepts sprang up in the past year, in
the field of the clinical anatomy, surgery, Botox and filler injection, thread lift, laser and energy based
therapies.
Topic: Cable-stayed Facelift
Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: The improvement of nasolabial folds by either lateral superficial musculoaponeurotic
system rhytidectomy (SMASectomy) or minimal access cranial suspension (MACS) lift alone is commonly
performed, but patient satisfaction is often limited in East Asians. An innovative technique named
cable-stayed facelift, which combined the strengths of lateral SMASectomy and MACS lift, was developed
for improved results.
